BACKGROUND
Personality} Note from breeding farm: She's an interesting horse is Gigi, not exactly an aggressive or pushy personality, but she won't be pushed around either. Under saddle, she'll only respond to precise, correct aids or you'll never get the best ride out of her. Likes to spend a lot of her time eating and being a bit fat, rather than cavorting around her paddock at a million miles an hour. Proud is definitely one word that could be used to describe her perfectly.
Note from CoaH: A very sassy mare, but willing to learn and be taught. We’ve decided to take her out of retirement and try her again at some dressage to try and get her some spotlight time. She’s got beautiful movements and with a good rider she can really perform.
History} Her breeding farm was a prestigious farm with top of the line horses and bloodstock, as well as beautiful, sought-after Hyalusian. They were known for their Arabian stock, but also had a talent to bring the best out of any breed they dabbled in. They also happened to be friends and affiliates with the Kentucky based farm Chronicles of a Hero. Melody and the owner of her breeding farm had a few breeding exchanges in the past, and their most recent arrangement was between their very own cremello stallion Alister to the beautiful Aigina. Melody was excited to have the pittering of little cream-colored baby hooves running around the pastures of the farm, and as the stable prepared for the breeding a shock came Melody’s way.
One evening a shipping truck and trailer came pulling into the farm’s drive-way. It was usually a familiar sight, when expected. But today’s visit was a bit of a surprise to them all. Greeted by the driver and handed a letter, Melody read it aloud -
My friend Melody and staff members of the Chronicles. I hope this gift makes it way to you safely. I understand we had breeding arrangements, but circumstances arose that has forced me to cancel. I hope you can accept this as my apology. Melody worked her way to the trailer, half expecting a foal or something similar, but to her amazement, there stood the stunning Aigina. Dusk was approaching, and wide-eyed and befuddled; Melody moved her staff to prepare the mare a pasture. The mare had only come half a world away after all.
