BACKGROUND

Personality} Plum is a bundle of peace and calm. Nothing seems to phase this stallion and is always the source of serenity for upset horses and humans. He’s very welcoming with a gentle knicker that has been rumored to be able to put crying infants to sleep. Even if he’s jabbed or poked he won’t show pain or a fuss, which can sometimes be a problem, especially if he’s sick.
He’s very quiet, and some people don’t even know what his whinny really sounds like. During training and lessons he lowers his head and does as he’s told, never once rising in protest. He has a very smooth and easy gait, and if he wasn’t a stud he would make the perfect lesson horse for children.

History} Plum was another easy birth, and once his presence was known there was an almost magical silence in the barn. All the horses stopped and listened to the colt’s first little grunts. As he grew he rarely made a noise, squeal, whinny, or bellow as he played with the other colts and fillies. As he grew he was attracted to those who would cry and be upset, and learned to knicker to them until they felt better. One case of a crying infant whose mother was attending an open house where the colt was born was reported. Plum invited himself over to the woman and her child, poking his nose over the railing. The child screamed until she looked over at the colt. Plum touched the baby’s feet with his nose, knickering softly. The child calmed trying to reach out to Plum, but her mother pulled the baby away, walking away from the colt. Plum just watched them walk away.
This was one of many calming moments Plum had induced from that day forward. Upon his arrival at CoaH he fell into ranks quickly, not wanting a leadership role. He was merely there to keep the peace among the herd, and he does a great job.
